Who we Are

Okhaldhunga Social service is formed as a common service oriented and non-profitable organization. It was established in AD: 1997 informally & it was registered formally in Kathmandu District Administrative office in 2009. Its registration no. is 900 at date 2009/03/18. This social service organization is established with its objective to serve peoples in Kathmandu specially working in different field of business & profession temporally or permanently residing in Kathmandu valley. To make OSS capable and active in social welfare work and supplement peoples of okhaldhunga & related areas with high moral and cooperation among society members. Not only OSS help to its members, it also serves & cooperate to other people’s when needed. OSS represents nearly 125 numbers of household of families have actively been organized. The application of more families has been submitted to join with OSS and wants to be active members. These application for membership of OSS is reviewing and will be finalized soon by executive committee. Membership will be awarded to new applicant after decision of executive committee. OSS is the social service oriented non profitable organization to protect & preserve the social, cultural activities as well as cooperation in difficult situation in Kathmandu valley & other related areas of okhaldhunga district.

The OSS also serve to the nation building also with serving to peoples those are facing problems in difficult conditions. OSS is involving in the service oriented activities and promote the social cultural , environmental with effectiveness programs that helps to boost our tourism business with communicating the our cultural show in national & international sector.OSS Works in the field of environmental & cultural programs as its festival in the period of annual programs of calendar.OSS wants to connect national & international sector in the areas of cultural & environmental activities with connecting relations to every community. OSS wants to boost our peoples in economically good by creating income generation programs. So, we want to extents our hands to make good relation to every sector of peoples socially organized or personally in national & international sectors for mutual cooperation & exchange our cultural, environmental sectors that would help to improve in moral social activities.

Mission

To be active in order to achieve the goal of social works for the peoples as following:

1.Due to many reasons’ peoples of okhaldhunga district are residing in Kathmandu valley with the aim of

miscellaneous professional and business work. These peoples among them backward in economically, socially & educationally are members of OSS & to help them in unforeseen accidental case, natural destructions and social difficulties conditions etc.

2. To develop the skills, to make good citizens of the nations for the members of society, OSS makes a joint effort with organizing them in the one society of organizations creating cooperation among them . OSS launches the different types of cultural programs e.g. LAKHE JATRA , ROPAI , DEUSI BHAILO etc. that makes the people happy , entertain and increase close relations with them.

3.To make programs for the promotion of educational, health & sanitation with good environmental conditions that creates awareness in the society.

4.To make the necessary work related for the public welfare with the field of justice.

5. Raising consciousness in the public of what is meant to be the son & daughter are same.

6.To make awareness about plantation fertility and fruit production and contribution to environmental conservation.

7.Creating the awareness to public for the income generation program to end the poverty & backwardness.

8.To try to end discrimination against women who are as social breeding.

9. To arrange people’s meetings, seminars & group discussions etc. programs to increase knowledge in

the field of social cultural economic & development.

10. To try to involve people’s participation in the development programs of government & non

government sectors.

11.Free of all kinds of discrimination giving full social service to the highest level of service making

meetings, discussions and consulting among the family members of society, making arrangement

interconnection & additional activities.

12. To serve peoples in the death events of family members of the society with helping of financially, culturally & socially at their residence as well as where they needed.

13.Communicating message of any events to the all members of OSS society by effectively method with using message transfer through mobile message & internet social media as early as possible.
